Community UCC solar Array Project to honor one of his family's favorite places - the Johnson Mill Preserve, created by the Triangle Land Conservancy. The Preserve is located just north of Chapel Hill. |
Each year the solar array should generate about 10,000 kWh of power.
This will prevent burning of 3 tons of coal, and remove 7 tons of CO2 from the air each year.
We used these Environmental Protection Agency resources for our calculations.
